USB Selective Suspend-instellingen uitschakelen in Windows 10/11

  • Updated

This article explains how to disable USB Selective Suspend in Windows 10 and Windows 11. USB Selective Suspend is a power-saving feature that allows the system to place USB devices into a low-power state when they are not in use.

What is USB Selective Suspend?

USB Selective Suspend allows Windows to save power by temporarily suspending individual USB ports without affecting the rest of the system. Although this is useful, in some cases it can cause USB devices to disconnect or stop functioning properly.

Disable via Power Options

  • Open Power Options
  • Click on Change advanced power settings
  • Locate USB settings
  • Ensure that USB selective suspend setting is set to Disabled
  • Click Apply and then OK

Disable via Device Manager

  • Open Device Manager
  • Expand the “Universal Serial Bus controllers” category
  • Right-click on “USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)” and select “Properties”
  • Go to the Power Management tab
  • Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
  • Repeat this for all USB Root Hub devices
  • Click OK
