AC7150 Does Not Charge My Laptop

Caution: This firmware update is strictly compatible only with devices bearing the following IIC codes:

• 09050246-P0022837
• 09050246-P0026002
• 09050246-P0026529

Do not attempt to use this update on any device with a different IIC code. Doing so may result in system instability or permanent damage to your hardware.

✅ What This Update Fixes (AC7150 Power Delivery)

We have identified an issue where some AC7150 units do not function correctly with certain Power Delivery (PD) chargers.

This firmware update resolves that incompatibility.

Post-Update Compatibility: After successfully installing this firmware, your AC7150 will be fully compatible with all Power Delivery chargers rated at 60 Watts and above.

🛠 How to Perform the Update

Follow these steps carefully:

1. System Requirements:
   • Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, 11
   • USB 3.0 host controller with appropriate drivers installed.
2. Install Update Tools:

   • Run the AC7150_FW_Update.exe installer.

     

   • Complete the setup and launch the tool.
3. Connect and Scan:
   • Open the tool
     

   • Connect the AC7150 to your laptop or PC and click Scan Device.

     

4. Upgrade Firmware:
   • Click Upgrade FW and wait for the process to complete (approximately 1 minute).
     

   • Ensure the connected AC7150 shows Upgrade is Completed.

     

5. Verify Update:
   • Disconnect AC7150 and remove external power to fully power off the docking station.

   • Reconnect and open the tool to confirm the new firmware version.

     

   • The firmware version should read : FW Ver = 0A.06.07.34
