The AC7914 has two modes: Single PC mode and Dual PC mode. In the Single PC Mode, both monitors display the output from either PC 1 or PC 2, with seamless USB device control following the active PC. In Dual PC Mode, each monitor is dedicated to a different PC, allowing you to simultaneously view and manage two computers with ease. Switch effortlessly between modes using the front panel, IR remote, or hotkeys.
MODE 1: Single PC mode
In this mode, output A and B select the PC 1 A and B input or can be switched to PC 2 A and B input. To switch between the two connected workstations press the SELECT button on the front panel, the 1/2 button on the IR Remote, or use keyboard/mouse hotkeys. The connected USB devices will follow and connect to the selected workstation.
The EDID from the monitor connected to output A will be copied to input 1A/2A. The EDID from the monitor connected to output B will be copied to input 1B/2B.
MODE 2: Dual PC mode
In this mode, output A is fixed to select PC 1 A input, and output B is fixed to select PC 2 A input. You can press the SELECT button on the front panel or the 1/2 button on the IR Remote, or use keyboard/mouse hotkeys to activate the keyboard, mouse and connected USB devices
The connected USB devices will follow and connect to the selected workstation. The EDID from the monitor connected to output A will be copied to input 1A/2A. The EDID from the monitor connected to output B will be copied to input 1B/2B.
