AC7960 Web Configuration

  • Updated

To access the web interface, establish a connection to the Base Station's Wi-Fi network. Once connected, navigate to the Base Station's IP address, which is conveniently displayed in the upper left corner of the home screen. The default username and password are both 'admin'. However, these can be modified within the web interface for enhanced security. Upon successful login, the web interface provides access to a range of configurable settings, allowing for personalized adjustments to be made.

Warning: Update the default password after your first login to keep your system secure.

When you navigate to the IP address of the Base Station you will find the login screen, use the default credentials to login.

Network Settings

In the Network Settings menu, you can modify the Wi-Fi SSID and update the Wi-Fi password. Additionally, the Wi-Fi frequency band and channel can be adjusted as required. Within the LAN Network Settings, you have the option to switch from DHCP to a static IP configuration.

Video out

In the Video out menu, you can adjust the resolution settings, which are set to Auto by default. The supported resolutions are: 3840x2160, 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 1280x720, 1024x768. The OSD (On-Screen Display) settings include options for configuring OSD colour, enabling or disabling OSD display, and showing the Wi-Fi password. These settings are displayed on the home screen. The Screen Rotation feature allows you to rotate the video output of the base station by 90 degrees or 270 degrees. For certain applications, it may be necessary to activate the Automatic full screen option; if required, please enable this function. The Multi-Screen option is set to Double Screen by default, allowing two sources to stream their content side-by-side on the screen.

PIN Code Settings

The PIN code function is an extra security feature to prevent unauthorized access and ensure that only trusted devices can stream content to the base station. This feature is particularly useful in shared environments, such as offices, schools, or public spaces, where multiple people may have access to the same network. By requiring a PIN code, the Aero Base Station ensures that only those who can see the code displayed on the screen can connect and stream content. This function is enabled by default.

Miracast, DLNA, AirPlay settings

In these menu settings you can activate or de-activate Miracast, DLNA and Airplay.
