All USB Type-C AOC cables include active components in their connectors. The Source/Host connector contains a transmitter PCB, while the Display/Device connector houses a receiver PCB.
If you want to use one of our USB Type-C AOC cables to connect a hub or hard drive to your PC, we recommend following these steps:
- Connect the USB Type-C AOC Source/Host connector to a USB 3.0 port on your PC.
- Connect the USB Type-C AOC Display/Device connector to the hub or hard drive. If required, power on the hub.
- Once all devices are connected, open Windows Device Manager to confirm that the devices are recognized and functioning properly.
- If you encounter any issues:
- Shut down your PC
- Unplug the USB Type-C AOC cable from your PC and the hub or hard drive
- Restart your PC and reconnect the hub or hard drive, starting again from Step 1.
