4K HDMI 2.0 extender set over CAT6 UTP with IR support
The AC7811 HDMI 2.0 extender set allows you to extend an HDMI signal via CAT6 UTP over a distance up to 60 meters (196 ft) with a maximum resolution of 4K@60Hz.
Or with a resolution of 4K@30Hz / 1080p@60Hz, over a distance of up to 70m (229 ft).
Power over Cable (PoC) support via CAT6 cable
The HDMI extender set supports bi-directional Power over Cable (PoC) via CAT6 UTP.
Which means that the receiver unit is powered by the transmitter unit or the receiver unit can power the transmitter, therefore only one power supply unit (PSU) is required.
EDID copy function
The EDID copy function, also known as Extended Display Identification, ensures the resolution communication between the source and output devices.
Without EDID, the source and display capacities can differ completely and lead to no image throughput at all. With EDID, the display capacity will be communicated to the source devices for the best possible quality.
RX = Receiver
TX = Transmitter
11 → Copy Display information from the connected display onto the Receiver (RX) back to the Display onto the Transmitter
10 → 4K@60Hz resolution, across all connected displays
01 → 1080p@60Hz resolution, across all connected displays
00 → Copy Display information from the connected display onto the Transmitter (TX) towards the Display onto the Receiver
It is mandatory to have a display connected to the Transmitter, in order to copy EDID (Copy HDMI Out TX) from this connected display to the connected display on the Receiver.
Above an example picture for the different EDID settings and how the EDID communicates to the connected devices.
For example, when a 4K capable monitor/tv is connected onto the Transmitter and the EDID is being copied and sent to the Receiver, on which a max. 1080p capable monitor is connected, there will be no display possible for this monitor.
At that point you need to switch EDID to the “Copy Display RX” option, to retrieve resolution information from the monitor connected onto the Receiver.
Connect a local loop display
The transmitter unit has an additional HDMI output for connecting a local TV or monitor.
The content of the source device can be displayed on a TV or monitor near the transmitter unit.
Cascading via local loop HDMI OUT port
Use the local loop HDMI port (Transmitter) for cascading to other HDMI extenders.
Infrared control via enclosed IR transmitter and receiver
An infrared transmitter and receiver are included to control the source device with its default remote control.
Option A: Source device to be remote controlled from the Receiver unit.
Option B: Source device to be remote controlled from the Transmitter unit.
